My husband and I love autumn. We love walking through our neighborhood, hand-in-hand as the falling leaves whirl around us and the smoke curls out of brick chimney tops. We bundle in our sweaters and brave the blustery winds to savor this most special of seasons ~ for it was in the fall that we fell in love and Tom asked me to marry him :)

Photos © 2003 My husband made several of these pumpkin luminaries for me last year. They have an electric flickering bulb in the box behind the pumpkin that casts an eerie glow when lit at night. Photo © 2003 It almost looks as though these chanting ghosts have sojourned out of the forest and encircled our tree for an All Hallow's Eve ritualistic bewitching-hour gathering.
