2005 Congratulations to our good friends, Kathi and Sheldon! They were married in Ottawa on September 24th! Best wishes to the two of you! We're sorry we couldn't be there! October!! I love the month of October! Fall is finally here! The leaves are just beginning to change here in Pennsylvania ~ and we're getting a taste of Indian Summer...gorgeous blue skies and warm temps. We've been so busy! Our kitchen is nearly complete! We've spent the past 4 weeks without a stove, spackling, painting, sanding, tiling, and grouting! Grueling! But it looks fabulous, and now comes the fun part ~ decorating! In other news, I've been attending RCIA classes at the local Catholic parish with Tom. I go weekly until the Easter vigil when I get my first Holy Communion and Confirmation from our bishop, Donald Wuerl. I've learned lots of new things...like our marriage isn't legit in the eyes of the Church! We're meeting tonight with the priest to make plans to remarry...which means, ANOTHER wedding! :) Yep, it looks like we're going to be getting remarried very soon. Wanna come?!? :) The kitten that followed us home has set up permanent residence outside our front door in the nifty cat house we set up for him during the remnants of Hurricane Katrina. He's getting to be a big, fluffy, orange tabby cat! Very cute! We call him Oatmeal. Why? Because that's what I called him the first night he followed us home! His paws were the color of oatmeal cookies in the dark. We call him Oatie for short. The other pets are doing just grand. Randy, our precocious cat, turns 2 on October 16th!! Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are right around the corner. The house is coming together which means we can have an open house soon and invite our loved ones over to christen our humble abode! And there's a wedding to plan!! (Do you think this means another ring, too?!?) ;) Stay tuned...
